“It’s as if I'm being dragged through the fog by a Charles Dickens' ghost.”

A blatant middle finger to humanity, GURU, THE MAD MONK is a 55-minute blast of prime horror dementia from legendary queer filmmaker Andy Milligan. The Church Of Mortavia needs money. Naturally, crazed Father Guru practices the art of supplying dead bodies to medical students in exchange for payment. When he’s not sticking needles in the eyes of his parish members, Guru schemes with a vampire named Madame Olga, abuses a hunchback servant, and derails the lives of lovebirds Carl and Nadja. Filled with Milligan’s patented blend of DIY costumes, ancient NYC locales, and schizophrenic photography, GURU is a great example of ingenuity, necessity, and a genuine seething hatred of mankind joining forces to birth a unique exploitation gem.
