American secret agent XK150 (Robert Towne) is sent to infiltrate a criminal gang led by Renzo Capetto (Antony Carbone). But when Capetto decides to kill members of his bungling crew and blame their deaths on a legendary sea creature, he should be sure that the creature isn't actually out there first! Conceived of while filmmaker Roger Corman was in Puerto Rico shooting THE LAST WOMAN ON EARTH and made using leftover film stock, THE CREATURE FROM THE HAUNTED SEA is a singularly screwy spy spoof with a monster that has to be seen to be believed.
