A hardened criminal named Johnny Cabot poses as a door-to-door guitar instructor to hold the wife of bank vice president Ken Wilson hostage in her own home. But there's one thing Cabot and his partner Fred weren't expecting: Wilson was already planning on leaving his wife for his mistress. As Fred struggles to get the ransom out of Wilson, Cabot's playful attempts at toying with his prey turn brutal.
