Mixing working class grit with humanist optimism, NORTH SEA IS DEAD SEA is a powerful tale of endurance and friendship through hardship. Uwe, a West German teenager, takes out his troubled home life on the local misfit kids in his area and ultimately befriends his rival, Dschingis. Partners in crime, the boys undergo a beautiful coming-of-age when they steal a sailboat and go on the run together in hopes of escaping to new horizons.
