A young police detective attempting to uncover the shady dealings of a popular politician is thrust into a pulp underworld of thugs, snitches, dames, and black-gloved killers in this early film noir from Jess Franco. Starring RIFIFI's Jean Servais and lauded by no less than Orson Welles (who soon after hired Franco as his assistant on CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT), RIFIFI IN THE CITY is an underseen key work by one of Eurocult cinema's greatest filmmakers.
