Ways to Give

AGFA’s mission is to preserve, protect, and promote the legacies of genre filmmakers and their films, fostering a global community united by the power of genre cinema. We celebrate outsider art and artistic freedom, ensuring that every generation has access to the greatest genre films ever made as we help to shape a new, inclusive film history.

When you support AGFA, you support . . .

Preserving Film for the Next Generation
We preserve and protect 35mm and 16mm elements in our archive, which houses over 6,000 prints that span decades of genre history. From cult classics to rare gems, we ensure these films continue to thrive in theaters and on home video.

Protecting Filmmakers’ Legacies
Our restorations safeguard the legacies of filmmakers from disappearing into the void. We’ve restored lost works like LOVE GODDESSES OF BLOOD ISLAND, ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES, and THE ZODIAC KILLER. We’ve also helped preserve the legendary Something Weird Video library, which was founded by the late Mike Vraney. Through our home video label, we ensure these legacies endure, proving that genre film is for everyone—made by and for a diverse range of artists and audiences.

Promoting the Power of Moviegoing
Through theatrical distribution, we partner with over 3,000 arthouse theaters, microcinemas, film clubs, and festivals worldwide to bring iconic films like DONNIE DARKO, RINGU, BASKET CASE, and thousands more to repertory audiences. Working with our theatrical partner labels, such as Shout! Studios, Arrow, Vinegar Syndrome, and Severin Films, we help present these titles while directly supporting local movie theaters, microcinemas, and festivals on a global scale.
